Mary Margaret: Gulf Shores

In August we took a family trip to Gulf Shores. It was a blast! MM's first time at the beach. She absolutely loved it!! We had a few firsts on this trip. First time to be in the ocean, the first time to swim with floaties and the first time to pee pee in the potty!
She loved the tunnel in Mobile. When we were going through it she chanted, "tunnel, tunnel!" It was pretty funny.
She loved loved the ocean. One day the waves were pretty rough and took her under. She was a little scared after that but she became brave again. Loved building sand castles aka mountains. We could not get floaties on her in the pool until the next to the last day but after telling her one was Dora and the other was Boots she put them right on. And boy did she swim like a fish! She loved the freedom! We could barely get her out of a pool the rest of the summer!
As for the pee pee, it was the last night we were there. We were about to put her in the bath, and she said she had to tee tee. So like always, we put her on the potty not expecting much action. But sure enough, she went! We were so proud. She hasn't gone since, but sits on it everyday!
We also went to The Track. It has rides and games. MM rode pretty much all the kiddie rides plus the go carts with Daddy. I was a little nervous about that one but they had fun.
We were also able to take some great family pics on the beach. Hello Christmas cards!
All and all we had a great vacation. Although we have created a little beach bunny!!!
