GO CARDINALS!!

A couple of weeks ago we took MM to St. Louis to go see the Cardinals play the Dodgers. For about a month before, she was running around the house yelling "Go Cardinals!" The drive down, or I guess up, took longer than we antricipated due to some detours, but MM did great in the car!! I was very impressed by her! We got there Friday and we were all too exhausted to do anything so we just went to dinner then bed. Saturday we woke up and took her swimming. She spotted the pool first thing when we checked in and was very excited. The game started at 3:00 so we even had time for naps!
Ok, what in the world were we thinking about when we decided to go to a ballgame in July?? It was hot as sin! I honestly can't remember ever being that hot. We had great seats, but Chris and I had to take turns taking MM up inside the stadium to cool her off. This very nice lady even had an extra cap for MM to wear to keep the sun off her! I was a bad Mommy and forgot hers! She was having a blast despite the heat. I spent way too much money on a fan that sprays water, but it was worth every dime to keep my baby cool. (and I even used it some!!) The Cardinals won 2-0 and we all had a great time. We were going to take her to the zoo the next day but it was raining.
