I am a little late on blogging. These last couple of months have been pretty crazy around the Hester house! MM is 18 months old! Really 19 months by now. I just cannot believe it. I really wish there was a pause button to stop her from growing up so fast! Her checkup at the doctor was great. Here are her stats:
Height: 33 inches (90%)
Weight: 27.1 lbs (75-90%)
Head: 18 inches (25%)
She had an ultrasound of her kidneys and bladder and a nuclear VCUG to check on how her kidney reflux is progressing. Pretty disappointed to hear, but she still has it. Getting a tiny bit better, but not much. We still have to continue with the antibiotic and test again in a year. I was so hoping we could stop the medicine. She has been on it since she was 5 months old and has become the best medicine taker! She is pretty trusting. But I guess things could be worse so I am thankful that is all that is wrong with her.
She has really taken up with singing! It started at dinner one night when I was singing her ABCs to her. When I finished she started her version of the song. It was too cute. She also loves to dance. She has this routine she does, where she wiggles her hips, march in place and waves her hands. I really have to get it on video soon. Sometimes she just goes around and around in circles until she makes herself dizzy.
Still loves playing in the bath. Knows that when the plug is pulled it is time to get out, so she tries to put it back in real fast! Sometimes she throws a little fit when she isn't ready to get out.
She talks ALL the time, although mostly in MM language. She still says Momma, Dada, Thank You ( I know, right?), ball, book, okay, shoes, toes, nose, no and I'm sure some other ones that I just can't think of now. She is getting really good at repeating what we say. But she never stops unless she is asleep.
She loves to be Momma's little helper. Whenever I am putting clothes in the washer, I lift her up and let her throw them in there. Same goes with the dryer. I hand her things one at a time and she puts them in there and then closes the door. It takes a little longer but it is worth it. She also tries to get things out of the dishwasher which is pretty scary at times. We have child proofed all of the kitchen cabinets, so now she goes for the drawers! She is a mess.
S he still love all things pasta! That's my girl! And mashed potatoes have become a favorite. She refuses to use a spoon however. Just picks them up with her hands! Loves to play peek-a-boo or our version, "where's Mary Margaret??" She knows where her nose, mouth and ears are. And her favorite, the belly button! And she loves to show off ours too, which can be embarrassing at times! She loves receiving claps and praises. I can get her to do and eat most things this way.
I love it when she comes up from behind me and wraps her arms around my leg and gives a hug. It is the sweetest thing. We are so lucky to have the best little girl in the world. She is such a ham around us. Constantly making me laugh. Our life has truly been blessed because of her.
Trimming the tree with Daddy!
Sighhh, more pictures Mommy?
Cheese! Coming to get ya Mommy!
